Guidelines for night marking cranes with obstruction lights

Since there is such a variance in Cranes, each case should be assessed individually.
Cranes for oil & gas segments exist in an enormous variety of forms:

floating cranes, tower cranes and mobile cranes for the sheerlegs segment;
cranes for offshore applications;
— offshore mast cranes;
harbour and shipyard cranes for on shore.

There is no single standard defining minimum
mandatory requirements governing design and
installation of obstruction lighting; on the other
hand the most common and widespread
regulations
are ICAO's and FAA's.
